Dear All,
I would appreciate any kind of feedback.
1) Basic demographic info: 27/ M
2) Educational Background: Engineering Degree - First Class Honours, Chartered Accountant (failed couple of papers)
3) Work experience: 5+ years - Managing a large management project in one of the largest banks in the country. Recently promoted.
Prior to that, financial Reporting (2 years) and auditing (from a top 10 firm) for 3 years. Software Engineering for 6 months.
Stellar performance. Recommendation would be easy.
4) Extracurriculars: Nothing of note. Have done everything but nothing.
5) Short/Long term goals: Stay in the UK or move to USA but I want to do one year MBA from UK or Europe. Consulting or banking.
6) Schools: 1) LBS 2) INSEAD 3)IMD 4) Oxford/Cambridge 5) ISB (India)
7) GMAT - Aiming for 700+ [Gave a mock yesterday and scored 600 without any preperation so hope I am not being too unrealistic]
8) Gaps in my CV - Well, As mentioned above failed 2 papers while doing ACA( chart. acc) - Didn't think it mattered too much till now.
Also, I cant provide my first 3 years of transcripts for my engineering degree as I took a transfer to Surrey in my final year and that's all I have. This could be my differentiator as well? I have adapted seamlessly to different schools/countries/environment. I am an Indian passport holder with UK permanent residence.
Aiming for Sep 2013 or Jan 2014 start!

Hello,
You have a strong profile for the schools mentioned ( IMD could be a bit stretch, but not far )
You have a good combination - engineering with chartered accountant, you can capitalize on strengths of both degrees in your essays.
Do not worry about the gaps where you failed in two papers ( you can easily defend this in your optional essay )
700 score at GMAT is ideal for your target schools specifically for LBS , Insead, IMD and ISB, but if you can score 10/20 above 700, it will be an advantage.
for EC , if you do not have one, start something now, you still have some time, so you can work on the same. Its never too late.
