Hi all, new here.
I have to first of all extend my thanks to everyone that has contributed to this site. Thanks guys!
I'm here for some GmatClub support and love. My exam is on 27/03/2014 and my score is not yet where I want it to be (740+).
Study Material: (
MGMAT books and CATs, Official GMAC books, Gmatprep software (QP1 and EP1 included))
I have just 12 days to go and I'm trying to focus on eliminating all my errors and improving my level. I've read that you should not try to learn new things at this stage but I feel like going through my errors and weakness (which is still learning 'new things') can help me improve.
QuantIn the quant section of the last CAT I failed 9 questions (I knew nothing about 2 of them (can do them now), easily did 4 of them on my first attempt during my review (my biggest problem), and made 3 real errors)
I'm happy that I've reduced my errors in quant (using diameter instead of radius, picking a instead of b, e.t.c). My main issue now is how to bring out information from my brain when I need it. I hate that 'Arghh, I know how to do this question' feeling you get after the exam when you realize you failed a question that you actually know how to do.
I feel like I can definitely do better than what my scores are predicting right now...or maybe that's an illusion quant gives.
I'm open to suggestions. Please help.
VerbalThere's not much to say here. Most of the questions I fail in verbal I would probably fail in an infinite number of alternate realities. I just hope I get at least a V41 or V42 on test day. I struggle with long critical reasoning questions that have long answers. Once I've done my first pass over the answers and I don't find anything solid my eyes start glazing over and I usually just make a guess. Any advice?
I feel I can eke out a bit more for Verbal from the remaining 12 days but nothing substantial. Will focus on concentration, consistency, and stamina for the remaining days and hope the Verbal section is not too convoluted.
Open to suggestions here as well...
Sorry about volume of text. Thanks again.
