I am a forth year engg. student from India. I am interested in doing MBA in US. I am planning to work for one year after i graduate and then write GMAT so that i can get into a college by the fall of nxt year amd mean time i'll also gain 2 years work experience
Since i am frm India i'll also have to write TOEFL. So please help me on how to start my preparation.Which of the two exams i should write first ??
which all materials should i refer??PLease give your valuable advices

Start with Princeton review and if you are serious, buy all the MGMAT books.

I'd say work on your basic English and knock down the TOEFL, as it is a primary requirement for all MBA programs in the US. Make sure you get a decent score in the TOEFL and then you may start working on your GMAT.

The best start for the GMAT is to learn the basics of the test. I agree with lanter1 on using PR crack the gmat and/or the MGMAT series.

i'd advise the opposite :)
do the GMAT first. then TOEFL.
you might want to take your time on the GMAT, you might want to take it more than once... so start early. if you start late you might put yourself under unnecessary pressure.
TOEFL scores are applicable only for 2 years. GMAT for 5. since there might be a possibility that you'll need to postpone your plans one year (you know... things change: you might be happy at your job, you might not get admitted to the school you want, personal circumstances may change etc...). if you start with GMAT, and finish the TOEFL only when you actually start the admission process then you won't risk that you'd need to rewrite the TOEFL.

TOEFL is relatively easy, and expires fast. so do the GMAT first.
that's my advice.
