Hallo,
My problem is...
I have registered for the Gmat-CBT test on 27th, April, 2005 (test center at Hanoi, Vietnam). However, I have a problem with my registration letter. The name I registered doesnot match the name on my ID card. (My name is Le Noi An - while the name in my registration has V (an extra letter)).
As regulation, if the name on the ID does not match the name on the test appointment, the test administrator has the right to turn that candidate away from the testing center.
I have asked the IIE representative in my country, the officer told me that: there has another solution that, in case my name doesnot match the name on the registration form, the supervisor at the testing center will have a look at my ID card, and make sure that the picture, the signature, the passport number, the birthdate are the same with those on the registration form or not.
If these criteria match those on my registration form, may I take the exam?
In the case that this solution is impossible, may I register for the test again within this year, and at the same testing day as I have just registered?

I think you should try to reach someone from ETS concerning this subject.
However, I hope for you that someone here has experienced the same issue so that he can give you some advices.

yeah, thanks alot for sharing with me.
I sent my registration form to the RRC in Malaysia. I have faxed and told them about the name spelling right after I have received their mail of confirmation and what they told me is "you should cancel the test day, since we are unable to make any changes to your name once the test appointment is confirmed". To some extent, they are right, however, the Bulletin says that:
" If an error occurs when you schedule a GMAT® appointment,
ETS® will make every effort to correct the error. If the
error cannot be corrected, your only recourse is to reschedule
your appointment at no additional fee or receive a refund."
And I also sent to ETS a mail concerning this problem. However, I really need an advice...
