Which of the following must be true for all ?
(C) 2008 GMAT Club - Modules and Special operations#6
if X/mod(X) < X , which of the following must be true for all X
answer is x is an element (-1,0)U(1,infinity)
If , the inequality turns into . If , the inequality turns into . In each of the cases , therefore is true for all possible .
The correct answer is B
Based on the question above, X cannot be 0 or between 0 and 1, for which the question stem will be false, but the answer given as x varies from -1 to infinity, could some explain

Please don't post GMAT Club questions in bulk. You have to check if the questions were copied correctly. I see they are not. Please update the post or even better - post each question in a different thread. I believe some of the questions were already discussed on the board so you can try to search for a specific question string in order to find the answers you need.
