Hi ,
I have got 3 admits for this fall from school X, Y and Z and have some scholarship from X but was trying to negotiate a better scholarship with X using Y and Z admits...now the thing is I do have admit from other school Y but I dont know the scholarship amount yet , while from Z I have scholarship which is almost same as what X offered..so now my school X has comeback asking for details about other offfers before offering me more scholarship...so I was just wondering whether its a good idea to fake a higher scholarship with Y and Z schools or do these schools have internal connections and they might find out the truth as well so how should I go about this...Any suggestions on this would be highly appreciable. Thanks

So first of all, congrats on your 3 acceptances! And the scholarship offers too, that's great. I strongly advise you to be honest and upfront with each school. Yes, AdComs do talk sometimes so that's a possible concern. But more importantly, do you want to start out your MBA career with a school based on false information? I'm sure if you found out they weren't being honest with you, you'd be pretty disappointed. It's also possible that when you accept you'll need to sign some sort of affidavit that you have not provided any false information so again, another reason to be honest here.

Thanks for your reply.Now I have this situation where in my initial deposit deadline is today and I had asked adcom for extension but they didnt reply back to either grant or reject this request so in this case what should I be doing...should I go ahead with deposit today or can I wait for their response till Monday?
