Hi all,
I'm am due to sit the GMAT in 3 days time. So far my highest scores have been (and all of these I have taken in the last week):
GMATPrep: 640
Kaplan: 520
Princeton Review: 610
The average for the school I'm really want to get into is 680.
Please can you advise whether hitting 680 is likely at all or whether I would be better off delaying the exam for 4-5 weeks. I don't particularly want to delay the exam as I wanted to meet the round 2 deadline.
Can anyone think of any reason to sit the GMAT when he or she is unlikely to get the score needed.
All opinions are appreciated.

You are better off waiting for the next round and having a higher, and therefore more competitive, score. R2 with a lower score isn't going to be any better than R3 with a good score.
I would not expect your score to increase dramatically in 3 days, but in a few weeks, you could do it. Check the Web sites for the schools you're applying to; many will post the last date when you can really take the GMAT and still get your app in for specific rounds.
btw, disregard your Kaplan test score. As you've seen, Kaplan scores can easily be 100 points below your scores on other tests.

If you're an international student, better get it done by round 2. Your chances of getting in are significantly smalle by the 3rd round.
Try another GMATprep test to gage your performance. But if you have already done several and never scored 680 and above, unlikely you'll see that score on test day.
