Hi guys

I want to go for a masters in finance, preferably in the States.
Here are my details:

Background: Indian/Female
School: 10th: 85%
12th (commerce) 94%
Undergraduate: Bachelors in Business Economics- 76%

Work ex: 9 months in the real estate sector. Worked with one of the top 4 companies in Audit.

Extracurricular: several medals in sports and I’m a hairstyle blogger.

GMAT: 610 (Q42,V31)

Should I retake the exam if I want to be get into at least in the top 30? Or perhaps any university with good ROI?

Please help!
Thank you!

Hello ,

In general it is advisable to have ur GMAT component to be a bit higher that the school's and in tern the programs's median score. If not then definitely in 80% range ..... ( unless your profile is exceptionally unique ). These information you can get on the internet if you research the intended schools and/or the programs.

Hope this helps.

Your GMAT is too low for an international student. I would target higher 600's at the very least.

Thank you so much both of you for the reply!
I’ll definitely consider taking the exam again.

One quick question, can you please help me with the best time of the year to take the exam, keeping in mind the application deadlines of most universities in USA for Masters?

My initial plan was to apply in September-October.
But since I will have to take the exam again, please help me with the timeline so that I don’t miss any deadlines.

Thanks in advance.
