Hi everyone!
In order to give you a little background, I would like to do in 2-3 years a top MBA (Wharton, Harvard, Columbia...) and I am currently working at BCG. In the practice tests I did before the official test I get 730/740/750/760/750.
Finally, I scored 740 Q50/V40 AWA:4 IR:7. I am not specially good writing in English but I have to say that I had fever and I wrote the worst essay of my life. At this point I need your advice. Do you think that I should retake the exam to improve the AWA score? Or it will not ruin my application? And is this score good enough for the aforementioned business schools?
Any advice will be really appreciated. Thank you in advance!
You have a decent score for a top B-school
A 740 also lands you into a free service
https://consulting-business-conquerer.business.site/You can speak one on one with a consultant and discuss in short on Zoom about your post MBA goals and have brief discussion of your current situation. As it is a free service for your score, I think you can give it a shot
Just go to contact us and mention "BusinessConquerer Referral Probono"
Good luck
Personally I don't think a retake shall be necessary, but 4.5 is like a AWA "cut off" as mentioned by several people. However there have been no "clear picture" as to what is the actual cut off. Also, there are schools that will let you take the GMAT again, but you can definitely discuss that with the consultant.
I am sure there are many here who are ready to help
Wish you luck with your application.
