I am using OG and Manhattan prep, I study between 3 to 6 hours a day.
I can pass it the 26 of oct. but I start my new job on nov 1st and it will be very demanding..
I used Wiley diagnostic test, do you approximately know what score it should range between for the 53%Q and 56%V?

Hi AliceMhhh,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you have studied for just 2 weeks (and you're planning to study for just 2 additional weeks), then there will likely be a limit to how high you will score. From what you describe, it's not clear what type of Exam you took, but the Scoring Algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than just simply the 'percentage correct' data that you are referring to (meaning that we cannot reasonably say how you would score on the Official GMAT if you took the Exam tomorrow.

All things considered, it would probably be a good idea for you to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can access 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). Once you have that CAT result, you should post back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and how you might best proceed with your studies.

In addition, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What is your overall goal score?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Alice.

Probably low 40s in quant and around 30 in verbal for a total score of around 570 - 600.

You can get a much clearer sense of where you stand by taking one of the free full-length official practice tests available on mba.com. Those tests work like and are scored like the actual GMAT.

If you end up having to prepare for the GMAT after you start your new job, you may find the ideas in this post helpful.

Consider doing an Official Mock (2 are freely available on mba(dot)com). Consider also checking out the gmatclub study plan post.

Thank you for your answers!
I just did the mock test on MBA as suggested and I scored a 560 ( VR 34-69%, Q 35 - 20%, IR 4-31%)
It motivated me to pass the exam before I start my new job :)

Hi AliceMhhh,

A 560 is a solid initial CAT score (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). You seem happy with this result, but it's still not clear what your broader goals are (and your Overall Score Goal as well as the Schools/Programs that you plan to apply to will almost certainly impact the amount of time that you will need to continue to study).

1) What is your overall goal score?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
