Hi All,
I have been preparing for GMAT for last couple of months. I bought MGMAT book set ,Magoosh and OG. I read manhattan books and did 95 % questions in Magoosh. and 50 % Og questions.
I took 2 MGMAT prep cat this month , and scored 530 q 38 v 26 and 550 q 40 v26. (GMAT PREP in dec 540 q38 v 28)
I have attached the most recent results below from my last mgmat result.
I have exam in coming 1 week which is kind of a baseline exam where i would like to score around 600.
And by end of march i have my second attempt were i would love to score anything beyond 650.
Can some one please help to choose the best course.
There are few constraints. Weekdays i can study 2~3 hrs
and weekends about 6~7 hrs.
( i don't want a course to start from very basic again, i want to start with what i know)
Either online or class room . I am in houston by the way. Budget is 1500 $
And from my previous errors, i keep writing why i went wrong with a quant question as a error log, but i dont think this approach has really helped me,i think i want some one who could go through my results say on a fortnight basis and say what i need to focus more on .
Just to add With Verbal RC and SC i have no idea what to do.and just to add, i went through MGMAT SC at least 2 twice now.
But I go blank thinking which rule a SC question is trying to test during the Exam. And for RC, OG Easy and medium questions i hit 80 % accuracy and for hard question i hit below 50 %. I get totally lost with hard RC as though i am in a maze like harry potter.
Hope some one could tell me what to do.And i cant push beyond march end as its my wedding in april and i will be all busy till ed of may.

To start, your overall score goal IS absolutely achievable in the timeframe that you have allotted. That having been said, GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, your 3 CAT score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (+/- a few points) - and your current ability is in the low-500s to mid-500s. There are two immediate things to consider about these scores:
1) Have you taken these 3 CATs in a realistic fashion that 'matches up' with what you'll face on Test Day? If you have not, then it's possible that these scores are unrealistic and 'inflated.'
2) These scores are so consistent that 'your way' of studying has possibly gotten you 'stuck' at this score level.
If your GMAT is in less than 7 days time, then it's too late to pay to reschedule it. If your Official Test Date is actually more than 7 days away, then you might consider paying the $50 fee to push it back. At this point, it's likely too late to make any big changes to how you approach the Exam, but you should know that you don't need to correctly answer ANY questions that are too hard or too weird to hit your goal score. As such, your best 'move' when facing those types of questions is to 'dump' them immediately (just take a guess and move on) so that you can spend the time that you 'save' to work on the questions that are 'gettable.'
When you took your CATs:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE?
