Hi All,
I took my GMAT today and was horribly disappointed with a score of 410. I realised I'm terribly under prepared and my journey isn't going to be easy.
I am planning to take it again and I am targeting a 300 point jump.
I am weak in quant, and although my language is strong, GMAT verbal overwhelms me and I get stuck in a loop of re-reading everything.
I am thinking of giving it in 6 months.
I am going to start working but I'll make sure I give at least 1-2 hours on weekdays and most of my weekends to this.
Any insight/personal experience/help will be highly appreciated! How do I strategise? What are the basics I should start with?
Any comprehensive explanation would really help me!!

I don't think getting an ESR will be of much use. Your score shows that you need to work from the fundamentals on up for both sections. Start from year 7 maths onwards – don't bother with a GMAT guide as they write like they don't assume knowledge, but then only give 1 example. Enjoy going back to school – I did!
