I am currently a Civil Engineering student and need a 700 total score to be eligible for a new program starting at my school. I do not need a specific score in Quantitative or Verbal, all that matters is the 700 total score.
On my first practice test: Q-44 V-28 Total-590
2nd: Q-44 V-31 Total-600
3rd: Q-43 V-38 Total-660
I then proceeded to sit the real thing (I would of changed the date of my test based on my practice test scores but taking it so soon was the only way to ensure I would have the chance to take the test twice if necessary before deadline).
On my first time taking the real thing I got a Q-42 V-37 and a Total-640.
I now have about one month to prepare to take the second test, keep in mind that the first week and half of that will be finals time so I will have little time to study during that time. Does anyone have any advice for me to improve my score to a 700, I would like to get a 720 on the practice tests as it seems that I suffer from test anxiety. From above you can see that I have improved my verbal score 10 points, but my quantitative doesn't seem to be going anywhere. To be honest with my undergrad in engineering, and that it is still on going meaning I still use math skills daily, I thought that I would knock the quant section out of the park.
Any advice would be helpful, thank you!
