Wonder if anyone has advice on how to prepare with the 2 weeks I have left.

Consider working on your solving approach for Verbal. At a consistent V40-42 level, it's likely a person already has strong fundamentals. This doesn't have to take long. Had a student I did 6 hours with and they went from a V41 to a V45 in about 10 days, about the same time you remaining.

For Quant, going from a Q39 to Q45 to Q36 may mean you have some slippery fundamentals. You may want to check if there are particular sub-topics (i.e. geometry) in which your accuracy drops significantly.

Thanks - this is super helpful! Yes, I was thinking it would be wise to seek for an improvement in my verbal. Could you speak to some of the solving approaches and/or ways to improve solving approaches? I find I already use a strong process of elimination, but sometimes get flustered by the wording of CR questions.

Hi GMAss.

Your high verbal scores indicate that you're positioned to score quite high on the GMAT once you get quant under control.

From what you said in your post, it sounds as if you need to do a lot more quant practice. So, simply going through the OG and GMAT Advanced isn't going to get the job done. You need to do more extensive practice that involves focusing on one topic at a time until you master it and then moving on to the next topic and doing the same thing.

For additional insights into what you could do to achieve your score goal, you could read this post, which discusses in detail various key aspects of effective preparation for the quant section of the GMAT.
