Hi A1701883,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) Have you taken the Official GMAT? If you have, then how did you score on each attempt (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
2) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far?
4) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

I am struggling with GMAT now, please help
I have taken the GMAT test 2 times but the result of the verbal is very disappointing and it is very low compared to what I scored on the GMAT Prep. I normally scored around 28-31 on the GMAT Prep, 28-30 on GMAT club test. But on the test day, I got V 23 for the first time and V 20 for the second time. And I was quite shocked when receiving the grade. Could someone please help me? I was really lost and dont know why it is such a big difference. What should I do next?
My aim is around 630 which I should score around 28-30 on Verbal.
And the next appointment is 30-12 and 7-1. I should pick one of those 2 dates because my deadline is 10-1.
Thank you!

Hi A1701883,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. With Verbal Scaled Scores of V23 and V20, you would have lost significant points in all 3 major Verbal categories (RC, SC and CR). Before we discuss any of those potential issues though, I'll still need additional information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) On what dates did you take your 2 Official GMATs and how did you score on each attempt (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
2) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far?
4) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
