Hi all, I have a quick question. On one of my applications they are asking how I did on my highest level of math taken. My highest level "actual" math class on my transcript is Calculus, and I didn't do too great. However, I was an econ major and did well in my advanced econ/stats classes (such as econometrics) that are highly quantitative and incorporate concepts such as calculus, linear algebra, statistics, etc...
What would you suggest I include?
Hey buddy,
I don't think hiding anything in the application will help your case here as even if you don't include Calculus on the application form the adcom will come to know about it through your transcript (they do take a serious look at the transcripts man).
Besides, I think you do not have to worry about this issue at all because although u haven't scored well in calculus you are covering it up with ur good grades in advanced econ/stats classes which also includes application of calculus and I am pretty sure this is mentioned clearly on ur transcript (at which as I told you, adcom takes a serious look).
So, I would suggest not to worry and try not to hide stuff as that makes adcom suspect your credibility.
