Highly dissapointed with my first attempt of 660(q 48 v32)
I had been preparing rigorously for gmat from the past 5-6 months. I had planned on giving the exam after I consistently scored above 700 as my target was atleast 720. I went through
mgmat guidebooks on verbal section then went through og 2018, verbal review and then math review. Started with gmat prep 1 mock where i got 640 then i went through 6 veritas mocks , my score ranged from 650-680 and after retest 670-690. There after i also went through gmatprep 6 mock cats alongwith reviewing my
error log and finishing bunuel series. My gmatprep mocks were as follows gmatprep1 repeat-720 gmatprep 2 :720 , gmatprep 3 :710 gmat prep 4 720 gmat prep 5 700 gmat prep6 710 gmat 2 repeat :770. Also i gave a
mgmat mock where i got a 690. My actual gmat was a debacle i found the quant section quite different from the mocks, but managed to do okayish . After my quant section i was expecting a 8 minute break in online gmat but instead verbal section started immediately and i panicked as I wasn’t used to giving it without a break, i tried contacting proctor which again wasted 2-3 minutes . All in all i messed up atleast 8-9 starting questions and gave entire verbal under stress. I recieved a score of 660(q48 v32) . I used to get q49-q50 and v35-v41 in mocks. Now I don’t know wether i should retake the test immediately or should i change my study appraoch and again attempt after few months.
