Hi Guys
Do you have a feeling that recommenders from high-tech may not be as eloquent as their counterparts from other industries? Also, they are not used to the B-school recommendation drill.
Wonder how that will work out for us !
I know someone who applied couple of years ago and the recommeders were indifferent or did not have time so they asked him for the rec letter they could submit. Surprisingly, it looks like it is common even with mba-friendly industries, such as consulting or finance. Admission consulting companies say that you should coach your recommenders. Anyone who has experience coaching their recommenders and how to do so can please share it here..
Has anyone noticed that exaggeration of dollar amount in accomplishments in some of the resume/essays of some applicant profile online or is it the normal? If an engineer claims to have accomplished 200m dollar savings for the company at his job, should not schools be verifying such description in essays and resume?
