I applied to the following schools:

NUS Singapore (On waiting List)
Nanyang (Interview not yet done)
HKU (partnership programme with London Business School) - Accepted
HKUST (i was late by a few days so havent heard from them)

I really didnt have time to submit any more applications (work hazard), but I really want to do an MBA this year itself!!

I just have 3 questions:

1.) If you had to..how would you rate these 4 schools (from 1 to 4 that is)

2.) In your experienced opinion, now that I am on the waiting list at NUS, do you think I stand any chance of acceptance?

3.) Do you know anything about HKU (The University of Hong Kong MBA)? They have recently started a partnership program with London Business School. Do you think that is a significant step forward or would it make no difference at all? Also, any idea about placements in the Hong Kong region?

Unfortunately, I do not have enough data on all of these schools to develop a useful ranking of them. I am intrigued by the partnership with LBS, an alliance with a highly esteemed foreign program is often a good way a strong MBA program (think of INSEAD and IESE).

Do you really think Insead would consider my candidature, since doesnt it make moe sense to spend more time and effort on schools where chances of admission are higher? My profile is:

Age 24
Nationality: Indian
Work ex: 3 years at DE Shaw & Co. (A leading Hedge fund.)
GMAT 660

Sorry, I did not express myself very well on my last message. What I meant was that for an institution, a close relationship with a leading MBA program is often a good way to become a stronger institution. INSEAD, for example, had a close relationship with HBS in its early years which appears to have contributed to the later success of INSEAD as a business school. Thus, a relationship between HKU and LBS could be a good way for HKU to gain visibility and gain exposure to the practices of a leading school.
