Hi Hjort,
I would like to thank you for your contributions to this site, I have found your posts to be so informative and they have really helped me on this journey.
I know a variation of this question gets asked a lot. I wanted to ask your opinion on how I can best compensate for my low undergrad GPA, and whether you thought taking a class or two of continuing Ed would be helpful in showing AdComs that I am very capable in an academic setting (assuming of course I get A’s!!). I graduated in 2000 with a 3.0 from the University of Delaware, with a 3.3 or 3.4 in within my major classes – Business Administration, Finance. My grades were horrible the first year and I spent the remaining 3 years trying to bring them up. I consistently got A’s and B’s and made the deans list a few semesters.
Anyway, I have yet to take the GMAT, I hope to do well. I am aiming for Elite and Trans Elite Cluster schools (UNC, Georgetown, Haas, UCLA, Duke). I live in Boston so I believe there would be a lot of options to take some grad level business classes. Or do you think my time would be better spent elsewhere (essays, extracurrics, etc)?? It’s not like I have a whole lot of spare time at the moment anyway

! I guess cost would be another factor too. I know it’s probably hard for you to say one way or the other but I appreciate any input you have. Thank you!!!!
