As a retaker from Mumbai, I researched HKUST extensively. It’s a top-tier school, especially for tech and finance. About half the grads stay in HK, with firms like McKinsey or JPMorgan hiring. The catch? Local jobs often need Mandarin, and competition is fierce. Many Indian alums return to India for stronger networks or cultural fit, not because the MBA lacks value. If you want to switch geographies, the exchange program and alumni hub are gold. It’s a gamble, but with hustle, it pays off. Prep hard for GMAT!

I’m a 32-year-old engineer, mid-prep, non-native speaker. HKUST’s MBA is prestigious, with 90% international students, ideal for cross-cultural exposure. HK job market’s robust—grads join Amazon, Deloitte, etc., with 58% staying. However, without Mandarin, you’re limited to multinationals. Indian alums often return due to India’s booming economy or personal ties, not failure. For global mobility, the 16-month track with exchange at Wharton or LBS is a game-changer. If you’re strategic, it’s worth moving for, but network aggressively.

I’m a cautious beginner, healthcare background, from Delhi. HKUST’s MBA is world-class, with a diverse cohort and strong tech-finance focus. In HK, 60% of grads land jobs at firms like Google or KPMG, but Mandarin skills boost your edge. The 16-month program offers global exchange, great for switching geographies. It’s a big move, so research visa and networking options carefully before committing.
