Hello, would you mind to tell me whether the Department of Management at Wharton has interviewed Ph.D. applicants for 2008 entry? Thanks a lot.

as expected, i got rejected

Pro, how did you know the decision? By E-mail or snail mail? Hope you can receive other offers in the near future. I applied Management at Wharton. Can anybody share information?

I don't have much to say. I am in wharton management department. I know that until about 2 weeks ago, no interviews were made, but the relevant people were already going over the applications. since then I heard nothing about the process - so can't tell you much. i'm not part of the decision process.

if there is anything to compare to - I was interviewed last year on feb 14 or 15, and got my offer on feb 21 or 22. can't say if this year is the same.

i'm a bit disappointed but not much
i mean, i treated this year app as a practice
this is my first year of app
only half-yr experience, no research experience nor publication
i think my strength would be GMAT, but then it's not considered strong in Wharton
so...well, i know i would be rejected

may i ask for u guys recommendation?
what should i do?
1) apply to not-so-famous university in US (probably top 50 or 100) and hopefully at least one will offer me
2) wait and find experience in research for a couple of yrs (dont know how long) and re-apply to those top 10 or 20 universities

BG - GMAT 750 Q51 V39
GPA 3.87 undergrad (no master), rank no.1 in class for core subjects (accounting)

update: wharton management department has made its offers for fall08 PhD. to my knowledge harvard did that too last week.
