A. are of interest to both

B. are interests both for

C. are both interesting to

D. is of interest to both

E. is interesting for both

Subject ; Hogarth's earnings .....................plural subject. So verb must be plural.

Thus we can eliminate D and E.

Option C : it must be interest , not interesting . Cancel option C.

Option B: Both must be placed before "for" .

Thus option A is the correct answer.

A. are of interest to both
Conveys the meaning. Succinct and unambiguous.

B. are interests both for
Hogarth's engravings are not implied to be interests [favorite pastimes] of artisans and historians.

C. are both interesting to
only one thing is referred to here (i.e.: Hogarth's engravings), not two

D. is of interest to both
Hogarth's engravings is a plural subject hence is is used wrongly here.

E. is interesting for both
Same error as Option D

Correct choice: Option (A)
