So I started the process of studying for my GMAT been studying for 2 weeks now planning in taking it mid Feb13 and have been using the forum to guide me. I wanted to seeing if anyone has or thinks its a good idea to make home made prep test. I'm making copies of OG Math since I'm studyin the math section . 22 PS 15 DS I chose them at random. I will do these for practice and save the CAT tests for whenever I feel more comfortable so I can make better use of them. Any feedback would be appreciate...

Yes, many people do that, though they do a series of topical target series to practice arithmetic, or combinations or geometry. We have a number of resources that allow you to pick the topic and difficulty (e.g. here is one).
However, you want to make sure you cover the topic before taking that question otherwise, it is a wash/waste of time to try to solve a probability question if that topic is not something you covered or are comfortable with. That's why it would be silly for you to take any tests if you have only been studying for 2 weeks.... if you had to study to be a pilot, I don't think they would let you fly after a few weeks
Finally, make sure you time yourself. Otherwise, go for it!
