though wordy but "although" conveys the message clearly that though the deeds are heroic but still the storyline is his domestic life and thus heroic episodes dnt hve much role to play in it.

The sentence is trying to present a contrast.
This is how I thought

Eliminate D & E - These options are not presenting the contrast.

B - although in fact - This is redundent construction. - Eliminate

C - Context is changed. It means that the fights were an achievement. 

 Hence A is the answer.
