The owner of Reliance Industries of India is building a home that will house the family of 6 and 600 maids/nannies/drivers....???

how big the house has to be to fit the 600 helpers??

Can someone verify whether this is true?

WOW thats insane...I hope its a typo. I have been in some massive houses that have fulltime staff and are beyond anything what a person needs...but 600 people is like a decent size company.

Its probably cheaper than the other status symbol for the super wealthy...mega yachts now are costing a quarter billion dollars and have an operating budget of 15-20 million a year.

Whats all the hullabaloo about?

Its only a poor ol' trillionaire ensuring the Roti, Kapda, Makaan (Food, Clothing and Shelter) for his family!

Curious about land rates in the US and other places... the location where Residence Antilia is being is built is one of the costliest locations in India - costs are something like $625 per sq.ft. The area Ambani has bought is around 4.5k sq.mt i.e. 40k sq.ft approx and he's building 27 storeys on it :shock: holy friggin' cow! At least construction should be cheap, he will simply use what he produces! :kisswink

I should go beg him to give me some for my college fees! :lol:

In the most conspicuous sign yet of India's unprecedented prosperity, the country's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, is building a new home in the financial hub of Mumbai: a 60-storey palace with helipad, health club and six floors of car parking.
The building, named Antilla after a mythical island, will have a total floor area greater than Versailles and be home for Mr Ambani, his mother, wife, three children and 600 full-time staff.
