Hi Everyone,
This forum is a great platform. I am still trying to understand the big picture of getting into EMBA program. I really appreciate your feedback.
My background is in engineering/technology. So I am inclined to pursue EMBA that is tech focused. But I have few questions.
1) Where are the top technology companies hiring the MBA's from?
2) If anyone has more info, what positions are they hiring for?
3) Finally, do top 3 consulting companies (BCG, BC, etc.) hire MBA's who are focused in technology?

If you are looking for recruiting and hiring, an EMBA is NOT the way to go. EMBA's are for people currently established in their fields and want to advance in their careers and typically at current employers. If you want an MBA to springboard your next career or place of business, most EMBA programs won't offer you that kind of guidance or assistance.

Thanks for the response. When I look at the employment reports from these business schools it looks convincing that you will be able to find a position of your choice either with your current employer or a different employer. Are you saying most of the EMBAs end up going back to their current employers and wait for a career advancement opportunity? I would like to think it would be other way around; with an EMBA skillset along with your current experience it should open doors for new career path (management consulting, MBA position with top tech company, etc.). Am I off-base here? Where can I find more information or report how recent EMBA grads from other top schools are doing?
