Good evening all.
So i've studied for quite a bit of time already. Thank goodness i only need a 550 on the GMAT. I've studied pretty much all the
manhattan gmat books, answered SEVERAL practice problems from it, several practice problems from here at gmatclub, reviewed flashcards provided here as well, and took my first CAT test (kaplan) this weekend. I scored a 560, which i was ok with, but i felt troubled with a lot of the questions.
I know several concepts, the basics to pretty much all quant topics. BUT my problem is, the questions still seem so difficult, even sub 600 ones. I just dont understand why.
For example, all reviews on the topic of distance just give the equation D=RxT, simple enough. but that's no where near what you need to know to answer most distance problems in the GMAT, even the simple ones. Applying the D=RxT is usually just one of the many steps you have to apply to those types of questions, but then ill get stumped on what to do next. knowing the equation just isn't enough, im sure you all know what im talking about. the questions are just confusing (im sure they do that on purpose though)
That's just one example of a topic that's very troublesome for me. I'm just very frustrated with the amount of time ive spent studying, im struggling to get a measly 550. If i had to get a 600+ i'd probably just give up haha since i've spent so much time studying i can barely answer 600 level questions. So i wanted to know, whats an efficient way to apply what i've been studying for months to effectively answer quant questions? I taking the official test april 11, and i plan to take atleast 1 CAT every week, from a different company.
Thank you :D
