The question says:
Solve the following simultaneously:

1.) 3x-y+12 = 5x+2y+4 = x-y

I am not sure what you meant by simultaneously but here is how I would solve it.

3x-y+12 = 5x+2y+4 = x-y

=> 3x-x-y+y+12 = 5x-x+2y+y+4 = 0

=> 2x+12 = 4x+3y+4 = 0

=> 2x+12 = 0 and 4x+3y+4 = 0

=> x = -6 and -24+3y+4 = 0

=> x = -6 and 3y-20 = 0

=> x = -6 and y = $$\frac{20}{3}$$
