Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and I would like to request some advice on how to increase my GMAT score.

I recently took the GMAT and got a 600. My verbal was great (86 percentile) but my Quant was very poor. In the PwPrep and GmatPrep tests I was scoring around 660.

I am taking the test again on Oct 20th and I plan to focus my studies on the Quant section of the OG. My goal score is a 670+

Can anyone offer me some advice on how to score higher on the Quant section in 3 weeks??

Any advice would be much appreciated!

As you go through the math problems, you should make sure that you keep track of the types of questions that you are getting wrong. If you are having a lot of trouble with a specific area, go back to the basics.

Also, you should make sure that you keep practicing verbal throughout your prep.

I actually seem to do better on DS than PS. Do you think practicing the OS is the best way to improve my PS?

If PS is what trips you up, chances are you will be better off re-learning the basics, rather than just trying to do a lot of practice tests. Kaplan, Princeton Review, and PowerPrep have math reviews; start there and then supplement with other sources - either online, or with old high school math textbooks, or whatever.

Try to target your studying to the areas where you have the most difficulty. For example, if you are missing a lot of geometry problems, maybe a geometry crash course is in order. If most of your mistakes seem to come on number properties questions, review your number properties and know them cold. If you're running out of time because you're slow at doing calculations without a calculator (like me), review some tips to get your speed up. Etcetera.

PS is the easiest section to see a vast improvement on in a short amount of time. That's the good news. So good luck!
