Spending up to 5 minutes on some questions isn't working out for you. So, regardless of the fact that you may miss an easy or medium question, if you get the sense that you are going to end up spending 5 minutes on a question, you should probably ditch the question and move on to the next one. Most of the time, questions that take you that long will likely be hard questions anyway.
That said, if easy or medium verbal questions can take you well over two minutes to answer, then probably, you need to prepare more for verbal in order to achieve your score goal.
