Hello all,
I'm a little confused on how to use the
error log to my advantage. I've searched this site for other discussions on how to use the
error log, but all I ever seem to find are definitions of the
error log and different templates. I can't really find how are people are actually using it while they study. I understand what it is for: to make studying as efficient as possible by tracking the the mistakes an individual makes and identifying the WHY aspect of an issue. It makes sense to me and it is very intuitive; it makes me excited to actually study now because I know it'll help me to identify the root causes of my weaknesses (hopefully).
I'm not really looking for an explanation of what an
error log is. Rather, I'm looking for the best or optimal way to implement it. How do you all use it specifically? When studying with practice questions, are you completing all the questions first in a timed setting (say 15 questions) and then going back and recording the results or are you recording data into the
error log simultaneously while doing practice questions? What about an actual practice test that is timed and made to simulate the actual exam? I understand that many people maintain spreadsheets as error logs, but do also first record it by hand and then go and enter the results into the spreadsheet later?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
