Hi,
sujoshk,
Thank you for your post!
First, I would like to congratulate you on backing a stellar 740 on your GMAT. About your low IR score, you just need to back it with practical examples in your work tenure in an additional letter explaining the cause! For further reference, I suggest you go through our article on
How to cope with a Low IR Score? you will get some beneficial insights. Also, I would suggest adding your GPA and additional statistics during your graduation with any other courses, certifications, and academic accolades won will help boost your application.
About your work experience, since you belong to a non-conventional background, I would suggest adding more about your roles & responsibilities and backing them up with any substantial example of leadership, decision-making, and excellence in the field, in your tenure. International experience is an important element; however, it's not all! Even exposure to international clients and the environment could add additional points to your profile. Coming to ECAs, you need to add some more relevant volunteering, community work, and hobbies. Mention your contribution, the challenges faced, leadership roles played, the impact generated, and the appropriate skills developed through your ECAs to bank upon them! Your post-MBA is relevant and aligns well with your work experience, so good job done here!
Overall, you have an academically strong profile on the surface. However, all your target schools are top B-schools; hence, you need to be absolutely clear on how an MBA can help you reach your goals, mention your motivation/driving force, your aspirations, and why you think it's a good choice for you to go for an MBA now and why you think you have relevant skills to be successful, and it would boost your overall chances. To understand your chances at school scholarships, we would need in-depth knowledge about each academic aspect of your profile. If you'd like, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in length and further help you; feel free to
book a free session with us at your convenience.
Cheers!

Hey Guys,
I am applying in R1 and looking at the following schools :
1. Indian School of Business
2. London Business School
3. INSEAD
I was hoping if some of you could give me a realistic picture with regards to the following questions that I have ...
Question 1 : How good are my chances of getting into these schools ?
Question 2 : Is my low IR score going to be a concern considering my overall profile ?
Question 3 : Is the fact that I have not worked outside of my country going to be a problem? Especially for INSEAD ?
Question 4 : How do I fund my education in the case of LBS and INSEAD ? I don't have a whole lot of savings. Even the living expenses are going to be a problem. Are there options available that can help people like me attend business school ?
Here's my profile :
