Want to write about this topic - the most sought after thing "you see it on every signature" mine too
Especially if you are a newbie, you don't have much Kudos, your GMAT is in a few months and you realize you can get access to the awesome
GMATClub Tests with those 25 Kudos. I hope that policy doesn't get changed in future.
25 is definitely not a daunting number! But I would say Kudos are not so easy to get.
You definitely have to dedicate some time on the forum - which is very reasonable, for the prize you get
I have been posting on Verbal forums and replying to questions, and was awarded with Kudos by the awesome GMATClub members. But, if you want to accumulate Kudos quickly, its a bit hard, few reasons being -
1.You answer someone’s question and you know there could not be a better answer than that, and still no Kudos
Sad, isn’t it? Especially when you desperately need them.
2.Folks generally look for the post –
i. With highest kudos and most downloaded. If its an old post, I would imagine it would have a high number than the new posts.
((((However, I have sometimes seen posts being called as sticky (haven’t explored enough).
So, if “I think” a particular post is really good and we don’t have anything similar in the forum – can we actually contact a forum coordinator to bump up that topic (if its worthy) – so that it gets to everyone. ))))
ii. And posts of some great forum moderators – who put invaluable information and lots of efforts in creating those and helping us out.
3.If you are posting a material - There is already so much on the forum and exceptionally good that you think - is it just going to add to the pile of information we already have.
4.Then you wonder, if the forum needs anything. How would you know? Are there any specific areas where gmat club needs help which I can work on, which will be a value addition to the Club. Where I could be better appreciated, rather than, posting something which is already out there. BTW, I don’t think there is any limit on the number of Kudos a person can get on a post or in a day.
But, obviously its not just about the first 25. There are folks who contribute to the forum, who don’t have any GMAT or school admissions pending. Thanks to all those folks and to all GMAT Club members, who make this forum as amazing as it is today. GMAT study is so much fun because of all of you.
Thank you!
