Hey all, here's how i did it:
I read the MGMAT verbal guides (3 ebooks) to learn the rules of the game, then did a practice test. With this baseline, read some articles from a newspaper or magazine/newspaper every day (New York Times or the Economist for me) keeping the rules in mind and paying close attention to the grammar and sentence structures used, particularly tenses, parallelism and subject verb agreement.
Also, in the mean-time, I read some classic books. Things like Dickens, or Lord of the flies, Heart of Darkness, To kill a mockingbird, Huckleberry Finn. Anything old, famous and preferably American. I kept the MGMAT rules in mind and tried to use the material to become familiar with the GMAT concepts.
After a few months and a few books I read the MGMAT guide again and did another practice test, scoring well.
That's it!
