the college i'm applying to has a deadline to receive scores by feb 28th 2025 and i've booked my slot for the 24th feb 2025, can I safely say that gmac will send my scores before the 28th?

Hi. It is somewhat unusual for the Universities to have a deadline for a score to be received unless of course that is a day before they are making the decisions.
Usually there is a deadline to submit your application and by that date you have to take the GMAT but the scores can come in later because AdCom don't run to check your score at the deadline time 😇.
However, assuming that your situation is the former and do need a score by the 28th if you take your GMAT on the 24th, the scores will most likely NOT be sent by that day.
Your score will take a few days to show up in the system and then it will take another 72 hours for you to confirm or cancel the scores and only then they will be shared with the MBA programs.... but again, in most cases people do not actually need to have the score be in the system, just to have taken the GMAT. Perhaps someone has a better idea about the speed that score reports get delivered AjiteshArun - would you know? If someone confirms their scores to be shared/sent right when they get them at mba.com, do they get sent right away?

Once the official score report is available, GMAC says that programs will receive the score report within 8 hours of the request being made. But, as you pointed out, that's not what schools generally ask for.
ad1ti, if you're taking the test-centre GMAT, you will (most likely) receive your official report within 1-3 days. The online GMAT, of course, would be a little riskier, as many test takers face delays in getting their online GMAT scores.
The bottom line is that you should be fine as long as you take the GMAT before the deadline. However, if you want to be absolutely sure, you should reach out to your target school and ask them directly (you have enough time).
