So just to make it a little bit clearer, if you consider studying with
TTP's course, how long it should take you to finish it
EFFECTIVELY (Don't skim anything just because you think you know it but really read it page by page, word by word + taking necessary notes):
If the Quant Course was a book you would be looking at around 700 pages to be read (I guess, based on font size on the website, page size, number of pages, etc.). Keep in mind this breakdown is
for the average GMAT scorer of 560 and obviously,
TTP has a fast track option for their content that you might consider choosing if you are confident with most of the GMAT content.
So let's take a look at
how many pages at a minimum you should read based on the options they provide:
- 5 days trial access for $1 will need you to read about 140 Pages per day in order to finish it. This does not include all the practice questions you should do as well after each chapter... Good luck
- 1 month access for $99 about 23-24 pages per day. Gotta be a fast reader and unemployed if you want to do all the practice questions as well. Not effective in my opinion.
- 4 months access for $299 - about $75 per month - will take you 6 pages per day. Realistic. Bump it up to
10 pages per day you should be done with it
in 2 months and 10 days and you will have almost 2 months for practicing all the questions (which you should probably do simultaneously while going through content) and having some buffer time in case something doesn't go your way.
- 6 months for $399 - read 4 pages per day and you will be done with it in 6 months. Obviously reading 4 pages a day will be super slow and you might run into the struggle of not remembering some concepts that you have read in the first month when you've reached the last month of your access. So I'd recommend again to
read at least 10 pages per day, be done with it in 2-3 months, go over all the practice questions to try to get higher accuracy on each of the difficulty levels and maybe you will be done in 4 months and the last 2 months you could give access to your friend to try it out or in the worst-case scenario you will have 2 months more to repeat all the content.
However, if you consider the verbal course as well that is being worked on (and based on reviews at comparable quality to their Quant course), then you will need to plan in the time for it as well. So at least 4 months should be what you are looking at if you consider doing both Quant and Verbal with
TTP. To be honest the prices are very fair for what you get. Not too expensive but also not too cheap.
I didn't want to go into detail on Verbal cause it's still in the beta phase with SC and CR only for now. According to representatives of
TTP they are working to update SC and CR first and RC will probably come later. But to be honest you can't blame
TTP for anything. The amount of detail and quality they stuff into their course (in my opinion kind of a perfectionist approach) pays off for the longer waiting times regarding the full release of their Verbal course.
I am working right now 9-5 and as I really want to use this course, that keeps popping up as the #1 rated GMAT course, to the fullest potential, I decided to buy the 6 months subscription 2 days ago. Made a commitment and will stick to it, using the 2 hours I have during the weekdays and 4-6 hours on the weekends. Would be great to see a beta version of RC as well before my access runs up even if I don't need it anymore cause the quality of content from these guys does not compare to any Manhattan or
e-gmat that I have touched on so far. Also, I wanna say that this is not sponsored. See you hopefully latest in 6 months with some good news. Any other opinions, recommendations, agreement/disagreement, and criticism is welcome.
