Very true. Everyone will have different timing of finishing the course. In my opinion, it's really impressive to finish all of it in an effective* way in under a month's time! Kudos to you. Has it helped you to improve significantly? what was your score before and after if I may ask? Also, are you working or a student? Cause the more time you have available the faster you will finish it obviously... Kinda interested to know ur story with a bit more details.

But, I want to point out that I was trying to assess this for the average Joe (starting at a score of 560) who works 9-5 and lives by himself and needs to cook, wash dishes, clean, do laundry, etc. all by himself. So such people, including me, truly have 1 to max 3 hours per week-day in case we want to keep a healthy sleeping schedule as well in order to be able to study more efficiently.

Best Regards to you!

I guess that people can accelerate course progress by skimming / skipping topics they are already familiar with.
Be sure to update us in six months about your experience and score improvement. Is it sufficient to hit 51?

Good luck!

Thanks mate, will do.. I am not sure if it will be useful for you to hit a Q51. There has definitely been reviews from people who hit Q51 though. I'd say get the 5 days trial access for $1 and see if the questions and explanations/strategies they use is of quality for you ?

Hi,

I would suggest do not compare yourself with others. It does not matter how much you work and how much I work, how I studied and how you will study. I already told you that it all depends upon person to person. Some people prepare for the GMAT for 1 month and they score 700+ , but some still struggle to achieve 650 even after studying for 1 year. In my opinion, even you purchase as many courses as you want , still you need to focus on your weaknesses. I would suggest before buying any course, just sit in a quiet place, take a deep breath and write down to some paper about your weaknesses. For example if you are weak in probability or combinatorics , in verb tense or in assumption questions. Just make a note of it and think for a minute that how can you strengthen it. This is very very very important my friend. One thing for sure I know that you know a lot of rules about quant and verbal section, you just need the right track. A course cannot give a right track, they just tell you all the quant and verbal questions and how to attempt those, which I think you already know. Please do not take my word to heart, but if you taking it then better suit yourself and prepare for these exams brother. ;) You can do it Bro.

Last Advice: MAKE A STUDY PLAN and Use POMODORO Technique to study

Thanks,

Hi harishad,

I'm glad to see that you've taken a dive into TTP!! Welcome, my friend.

Regarding your post, completion time for the TTP course is different for each user and depends on multiple factors. The first of those factors is how far you have to travel from your starting point to your score goal. For example, are you starting the GMAT from scratch or have you taken it before? Do you need a 200-point increase or a 50-point increase? Do you need to study just quant, or just verbal, or both? All of these factors play a large role in how efficiently you get through TTP.

The second factor is your study routine. Certainly, a student who studies for 3 hours a day is going to move through the course more quickly than a student who studies for 30 minutes a day. Related to that is the third factor -- how motivated and disciplined you are. If you are super motivated and study every day, then you’ll make good progress on a daily basis. However, if you are taking days or weeks off at a time, then you’re going to need much more time to complete TTP.

While the factors I mentioned are quite variable, I can say that, on average, a TTP user generally needs around 200 to 500 hours to complete the course. If you’re using TTP to study only quant or only verbal, you may need less time. The good news, however, is that now that both quant and verbal are contained in your TTP study plan, you likely are SAVING time. Prior to the Beta Verbal launch, users had to balance verbal from another course with TTP quant. Now, everything is in just one place, making your study time much more efficient.

If 200 to 500 hours sounds like a lot of time to prepare for the GMAT, check out this article on mba.com, which advises test-takers to plan for six months to a year of study time. It’s important not to rush the process of preparing for the GMAT -- doing so typically results in disappointment, as students end up taking the GMAT before they are truly ready to do so and, consequently, not hitting their score goals.

If you want to get a better idea of how long you may need to complete the TTP course, track yourself for the first three modules. Using your percentage of completion along with the amount of time you needed to get that far, you can calculate with some accuracy how long you will take to complete the rest of the course.

Of course, if you have any additional questions along the way, feel free to reach out to me directly.

Thanks for the detailed approach that you recommend! Will keep it in mind. Started studying with the Pomodoro technique and following the study plan from the course atm. For the Pomodoro technique though 25min study and 5 min break is a bit short for me so I am doing 50/10 instead. Will identify my weaknesses as well. Thanks friend.

I agree. I took the monthly subscription and I'm almost done, only because I can dedicate more time to it on a daily basis.

ttp is very long. very long. I am 3 months in and only done a third of it. 9 months should suffice if you want a 700+.

my opinion.

I log about 25-28 hours per week.
