Hi roadrunner,
First off, a 670/Q48 is a strong score (it's above the 80th percentile overall), so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admission ... tants-124/The ESR can't be generated until your GMAT Score is certified and made "Official." Right now, you have the Unofficial Score Results - and while the Official Results are almost always the same as the Unofficial Results, there's still a formal process that must be followed. Depending on the time of year, that process could take from a few days to a few weeks (but it's unlikely that it will take 20 days for the certification to occur).
If you do choose to retest, then it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) What study materials have you used?
2) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
Goals:
3) What is your exact goal score?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Thank you Rich for your response. I'll definitely ask on admissions expert forum. Regarding ESR availability, Score is now available online so could download my ESR. Few surprising observations in there. Will also create a separate 'Ask GMAT Expert' post to get some recommendations on approach.
