I’ve noticed a lot of applicants assume that applying to 2–3 schools is the realistic maximum for Round 1 because of the time involved.
But depending on your school list, there can be ways to apply to more without simply rushing through applications or recycling essays blindly.
Some things worth looking at:
1. Schools with later Round 1 deadlines
2. Programs with shorter application formats
3. Overlap between essay questions across schools
4. Schools with rolling admissions or multiple application cycles
5. How much work can realistically be reused without making applications feel generic
We’re discussing this in a
live coffee session on August 14 and will go through practical ways to build a larger Round 1 school list while maintaining application quality.
