How many of the 75 employees in a certain company had neither five years of experience nor a college degree?
The approach I used to solve this question was by drawing a 2x2 matrix. As shown in the image below.
(1) Of the 75 employees, 30 had both five years of experience and a college degree.
This is insufficient as statement 1 alone is not enough to determine how many employees have neither 5 years or experience nor a college degree.
(2) Of the 75 employees, 20 had five years of experience but not a college degree.
This is insufficient as statement 2 alone is not enough to determine how many employees have neither 5 years or experience nor a college degree.
