Hello - I am preparing to take the GMAT within the next month or two and wanted to know how many official GMAT questions are available as I want to take all the relevant ones.

I currently have the Official GMAT 2021 guide (+ online question bank) and the Official GMAT Verbal and Quant 2021 guides.

I believe there are additional questions you can purchase through GMAT official website - would you please advise which ones I should purchase (outside of the 6 exams)?

Thank you!

Hi gmatimothy,

From your initial post, It sounds as though you're just starting out. Is that true? Have you done any studying so far?

If you're just beginning, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can access 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a bit of practice first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the general content and question types first, then that's fine - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

1. 730+ (My first GMAC #1 Mock Exam taken 5 weeks ago was 620 Q47 and V28; I didn't finish 7 questions on Verbal because of timing issues)

Consider working on time management. Even with strong fundamentals a person may end up harming their score if they have to rush through the 4th quarter. That being said, I did have a student get a V45 on an actual exam with 10 minutes left. Is that a good thing? Perhaps, if one only looks at the section score. But could they perhaps have done better on that performance than a V45 if they slowed the breaks down and spent that time to increase their accuracy. Maybe.

How to get better on the GMAT. Think of time management as time currency.
