Hey guys,
So I took the GMAT for the first time last month, and although happy with my score - 750, 49 Q and 44 V - I got a 3 on the IR... I don't think I was under prepared, but some other test was starting at my test center so I got a little distracted. Also, in general don't think it was my best 30 mins of test taking.
I did take the test again this week, and am happy that I was able to do better - 760 with an 8 in IR this time.
When I apply for business school (Aiming for Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, U Chicago), should I write an extra essay explaining why I did poorly the first time? Or will the score be overlooked? (for reference, other parts of my application are decent, have a high GPA and I work for a firm that sends many people to my target schools)
Thanks for your help in advance!
