How Much Compensation Three Years Post-MBA?

Question

This is a total repeat of a poll I did some months back, but I think we all may have a more focused idea of where we'll end up now that we've done more research etc...

Also I'm adding more options, last time the highest option was just 200+ and over 30% of people voted for that option.

With the kind of career path that I intend to go into, I would be ok with 150K after 3 years. Anything more would be a bonus. Ofcourse I've planned in such a way that I won't have to worry much about student loans.

Lepium and Econgirl - Thanks! I can't imagine I'll ever think, "What if I had gone to BU?" whereas if I had gone to BU I'm sure there would be times where I would think "What if I had gone to Stern?"

I actually just Google-searched for the NYU logo and a picture of the Manhattan skyline. I don't know anything about Photoshop or applications like that, so I just used Microsoft paint to drop one image on top of the other.

Average 1st year comp for investment banks was $250k or so last year. Most Ibanks promote associates to VP after about 3 years. Those that can tough it out should be making well in excess of $350k by then. And of course, PE/HF/VCers should be making even more even sooner. It will definitely depend on how the economy holds up though.
