Hey all,
I believe that recommenders should be honest in their appraisals. However, some people seem to believe that as recommenders, they have to paint a picture of the applicant in the best light possible and therefore fill out the forms to say that the applicant is in the top 1% or top 5% in all areas.
Would like to hear other people's perspectives on this, especially if you know something about the "system" and have evidence that inflation is commonplace.
