Hi,

I feel like I'm relatively ready with the quant & verbal sections, but I haven't looked at AWA at all.

I'm thinking of booking my appointment for next week wednesday. How much time, on average is needed for the AWA?

At the risk of sounding conceited, I feel that I'm strong in essay writing.

Would it be enough to learn a template and just go in with that?

Thanks

The only preparation you need for AWA is going through Chineseburned's post

AWAs do not count towards your 800 score and schools look at the 6point score only if you have low verbal and poor essays. It is very easy to score a 5 in AWA. So, do not put much effort for this section.
Create a template and try one essay if you get a chance. Make sure you take a full length Mock Test (Awa+Quants+Verbal) to gauge where you stand on Stress Management. After that you should be all set to book a date next week.
