How Representative are the New Veritas Practice Tests ? [#permalink] New post   13 Sep 2014, 11:35
Hi All,

Has anyone out there taken the Veritas Full Length Practice Tests ? I gave two and scored 710 ( Q49 V38) & 730 (Q49 V41). I want to know how representative are they as compared to the actual GMAT test ?

Pls. suggest

Hi,

I have taken veritasprep free test, I feel this is a bit easier than real GMAT or any other mock test (MGMAT, GMATPREP).
I scored 640 yesterday on actual GMAT :( .... I had managed to score 670 on veritasprep 1.5 months earlier, with lesser preparations)

I agree with VDes. I took the free CAT a couple of months ago and scored 720 (Q49 V41). I only managed to score a 640 (Q44 V35) on the actual test. I didn't feel that the Veritas test was easier than the actual GMAT, but I felt like their scoring algorithm was too lenient compared to GMAC/Kaplan/Manhattan, etc.

I guess need to hit 760 on these tests then :wink: . I have exhausted the GMATPrep Tests, therefore no other option left.

But I still feel the quality of questions on Veritas Practice Tests is really good. Also if you are doing good on verbal, you get a RC at Q39 which really tests your nerves at the end. Therefore, I feel they are good from test taking strategy standpoint too.
