Many candidates applying to Ross have strong academics, solid work experience, and clear career goals. In a competitive applicant pool, the question is often not whether you're qualified, but how you demonstrate the impact you've made.
One of the things Ross is known for is its focus on action-based learning and leadership. As a result, applicants should think beyond their job titles and accomplishments and consider how they have influenced others, solved problems, and driven meaningful change.
As you prepare your application, it may be worth asking yourself:
• When have I taken initiative to solve a challenge?
• How have I created impact within my team, organization, or community?
• What experiences best demonstrate leadership in action?
• What would others say about the difference I've made?
These are often the stories that help an application stand out and give AdComs a better understanding of what a candidate would contribute to the Ross community.
We're hosting a LIVE Coffee Session on MBA application differentiation and will cover topics such as leadership, personal storytelling, recommendations, and building a stronger overall application narrative.
