1,2,3,4,5 are number. How many less than 500.

One digit number 5C1 = 5
Two digit numbers 5^2 as repitition is allowed
Three digit number

= Total three digit numbers - three digit numbers that start with 5
5^3 - 5^2

Add all of these we get 130 as answer.
