Should one consider studying GRE CR as well in order to improve their GMAT CR?

There aren't any fundamental logical differences between the two. (This is in contrast to the LSAT, which has question types that ask for a fundamentally different type of reasoning than the GMAT does: for instance, the LSAT sometimes asks about sufficient assumptions, as well as necessary assumptions.) That said, I don't think that GRE Verbal problems are any better than GMAT ones, for study purposes or otherwise. And in my experience, GRE Verbal problems (including CR) sometimes aren't as well-written or logically sound as GMAT ones are.

So I guess my answer is 'there's no reason not to, but I don't think it would be of any specific benefit.'

Would you prefer GRE CR and RC questions for GMAT CR & RC prep to third part material after Ive exhausted about 7k original retired GMAT questions?
So here is the order I'm thinking: GMAC Questions --> ETS GRE Questions --> 3rd Party Prep Co. Questions --> LSAT
what do u think?
Thank you

There should be more than enough official CR+RC questions available now that most test takers won't need to work from inferior sources, but if a test taker did want to look elsewhere, then official LSAT questions (only the relevant ones, not the ones in formats the GMAT never uses) and official GRE questions would be the next best choice. Those two tests are stylistically different from the GMAT (if someone knows those tests well, it's easy to identify the GMAT questions, because they're the best-written ones and the ones with the most inventive logic), but you can rely on GRE and LSAT questions to be of a high enough standard. Third party Verbal questions would be a distant fourth; too many prep company CR+RC questions are badly written or are logically porous, and you'd largely be wasting your time studying them.

GRE CR questions are easier than and don't work quite the same as GMAT CR questions. Also, the number of them available is pretty small.

So, for CR I'd go with the following:

GMAC Questions --> better quality 3rd Party Prep Co. Questions --> LSAT --> ETS GRE Questions

For RC, any order with official GMAT questions first works.

Well

It is true that comparing the GMAT and GRE CR the latter are "easier. True

However, those CRs from the Big Book are close to the GMAT CR.

Moreover, 350 official GRE CR I do not think are a small number. It is a good chunk to practice. See the link below

https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/search ... 5D=457&t=0

This for example a really good CR from the GRE https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/united ... tml#p37021

I hope this is somehow useful

regards
