Hi,

I studied from a college(NITK SUrathkal) where the CGPA was on a scale of 10.
How to i convert it to a scale of 4?
What i can think of is doing 6/10 * 4 = 2.4
Am i right or is there a different way of doing the same?

Thank you!

Converting GPAs never does justice to your GPA. I'm pretty sure most adcom understand the various scales that GPAs are reported in. I would just leave it as is instead of trying to get it to a 4.0 scale.

No need to convert your GPA as per your own method. Just let the AdCom know about the system of grading that is it, or ask for help one of those evaluation agencies that convert international transcripts to the US standards, again contact the school you are applying and find out which evaluation agency they prefer, for instance HBS accepts WES reports and so forth...Godspeed bro!
